In the event of inclement weather it will be the responsibility of the HOME team listed on the schedule to contact and inform the scheduled umpire of the schedule change.  Umpire contact information is listed below.

9-10 Umpire Contact Information

  • If for some reason you can not make a scheduled game please notify Joe McIlhenney as soon as possible. Failure to show without making contact with me by phone or email will jeopardize future umpiring dates.  My information is listed at the top of the contact list.

  • All games start at 6pm and umpires should arrive by 545pm to make sure the games start promptly on time.

  • Umpire gear will be in the field box at each field for the home plate umpire to wear. 

  • Umpires can wear shorts but they should be in presentable attire.  

  • We ask each umpire to supply their own strike/ball counter.

11-12 Umpire Schedule / Contact Info
  • A link to the 2013 Forest Hill umpire schedule that includes our 11-12 HFG games through Monday May 13th is available below. 
  • A link to the contact list is also included. 
  • The HOME team head coach listed on the 11-12 HFG schedule will be responsible for canceling the umpire in case of inclement weather. 
  • If a Churchville team is playing at a Hickory field and is listed as the HOME team then the listed Visiting HFG coach will be responsible for contacting the umpire due to inclement weather as well as contacting the Churchville coach.

  • If a game is cancelled in 11-12, please let Joe McIlhenney know via email as soon as you can, indicating the date and field which was cancelled.

  • Coaches should NOT pay umpires as Forest Hill sends the 11-12 umpires a check

NOTE: Coaches, please remember that the umpires are kids and there should be no arguing or trying to influence umpires.  If this occurs, the consequences will not be good for the coach or assistant.  Any talks with the umpires about a call between innings should come from the head coach ONLY.  Joe Mac will have a short leash on any incidents involving arguments or coaches influencing umpires. Coaches should not be calling strikes or balls themselves from the sideline as pitches occur and Coaches are also responsible for parent actions on the sideline.
